Slightly timid

Hear me roar! I am wee Baskin, smallest of my litter in size, biggest in attitude.  While I might be teeny on the outside, I’m the size of a lion in personality. I’m quick to voice my fierceness, and tell you if I’m happy (purring and rubbing against you for pets) or unhappy (hissing and growling when I’m at the vet). I will also tell you when it’s time to eat! The resident cats are still a fair bit bigger than me but I get them in line – believe me. I love playing and chasing after the resident cats, toys, you name it – I’m a hunter.

I’ve warmed up to resident cats in my foster home after proper introductions, and now love to play and cuddle. I even groom them! After slow introductions, I will now tolerate a doggie (and have even been caught licking her once or twice, when I think no one is watching). 

I am cautious with new animals (both of the cat and dog variety), but with time and proper introductions, I get there. I might be vocal when first meeting new animals, but with time have learned to love the newcomers. 

I like things on my terms – when I’m in the mood, I love to cuddle, and will come curl up on you. If you try to pick me up when I’m not in the mood, I will squawk to let you know. I do ok with kids, especially if they’re respectful and give me space, but will probably keep my distance from the very little ones.

I do have a medical condition, and am on a special diet. I’m also on a medication every day, but it’s pretty quick and easy to give. 

I am a typical kitten – I run, play, and snooze (preferably in a warm cuddle puddle with the other cats). I love early morning cuddles with humans, and will come curl up in your arms while you’re still in bed.
