About Swiper

“I don’t mean to brag, but I’m pretty smart for my age! I listen, know the basic commands and follow the leader really well!

I came with the name Swiper, but I pay attention and will respond to multiple names (Sniper, Snipes, Puppy and Buddy). I can also sit, lay down, and I am starting to know lots of other words and working on many other tricks with my foster parents and following the lead of my foster dog friend too! I have a black and white short haired coat, with a traditional collie colored tail; and I do have some brown coloring starting to grow in.

I have quite long legs, big paws and my feet make a thumping sound when I walk. My favorite thing to do is play with all of my dog toys…. all at once. I like attention of all kinds, chasing balls and wrestling with my new friend/resident dog at my foster home and running around outside. I’m still a puppy, so I really like naps in between playtimes; especially when you let me cuddle up beside you on the couch. I am comfortable in my kennel, I almost never bark, but I’m still learning to have alone time; so I will whine sometimes.

No one puppy is perfect, I do still have some troubles holding my bladder and I’m teething so I like to try to chew on things, which includes your arm if you will let me…. But don’t worry, I am super gentle at playing and I will always lick it better.

Last thing I am still working on is that I haven’t quite made any kitty friends yet…. I get too excited and try to chase my foster home  cats… In recent days I have been getting better but I still need practice and a very patient resident cat. Also, I haven’t played with small humans yet, but as long as they want to play with me, I am sure their height will make it a lot easier to give them lots of licks!

Looking forward to playing and cuddling with you soon!” – xo, Swiper
