Slightly timid

Hi, I’m Mitsy! If you’re looking for a quiet, sweet companion, I’m your girl. I’m told I’m a real sweetheart! I can be a little shy around unfamiliar people and new environments although it didn’t take me long to warm up to my foster family. But my confidence still keeps growing so I’m looking for a quieter house who understands that I just need some time and patience. I’m not so much of a lap cat but I love pets, kisses and getting brushed. I’ll even tolerate nail clippings with the distraction of pets. And I’m learning to relax when getting picked up and enjoy the cuddling. I’m good with kids as long as they know to go slow & gentle with me. 

My most playful years are behind me now but once in a while you’ll catch me playing with a toy. I’ve got a quiet meow and I’ve been so good at using the litter box! I’m such a neat and tidy girl.

I guess I was a bit overweight (my foster mom says it’s because I have such a huge heart) but I have been losing weight now. I’ve also had some dental work so I’m feeling like a new and improved cat! Some of my favourites are canned food (not really a fan of kibble), sitting out in the sun, sleeping curled up in my chair, and lying on heat registers because winter can be chilly.

I live with two other cats and although it wasn’t love at first sight with slow, proper introductions I’m now friends with them. Although I’d also be very happy as the only pet in the house.
