About Ellios

“I am a happy puppy that loves playing with dogs, toys and people!

I am about 5 months old, so even though I have lots of puppy energy, I am starting to learn big dog things. I almost never have an accident in the house, but I have to be let outside a lot because I still have a puppy bladder.  I will sleep in my crate at night, but would prefer the couch! I have not been destructive when left outside of my crate at night and usually sleep until the resident cat or one of the resident dogs wakes me up!

I love the two dogs and cat that I live with!  The feeling is not always mutual, but the big dogs will play with me and let me bite their ears. The cat hisses at me and tries to scratch my face. What’s that all about? I would LOVE to find a home with a playful dog that I can burn off all my energy with!

I haven’t been for many leash walks because I wasn’t feeling well when I first came to my foster home and wasn’t allowed out of the yard. But I am all better now, and when foster mom walks me on leash in the yard she says I am very good. I also come when I am called, which foster mom says is a very good trait.

I’m pretty smart and know how to sit for a treat, but I get a bit excited taking the treat out of your hand. Being a puppy, I like to chew things. I mostly just chew my toys, but sometimes I find a shoe and foster mom has to take it away. So far no shoes have been damaged! I also like to chew on your hand or arm sometimes. I don’t bite very hard, but if you have little people in the house I would have to be supervised with them. I bite the dogs’ legs all the time and they don’t seem to mind!

When foster mom leaves me alone in the house she leaves me in my crate. I don’t love this, but it’s ok.  I’ve only been left alone for a few hours at a time. Foster mom thinks I would be fine left in the house without the crate, because I am good at night, but she hasn’t tried it yet.

When I’m tired I love cuddling on the couch with foster mom, or with my foster dog brother or sister. Foster mom says I have the softest fur, so she likes cuddling with me too!

If you are looking for a happy energetic puppy with soft fur, I may be the guy for you!” xo, Ellios
