Hi! My name is
I’m an Animal in Care at AARCS
Date of Birth
April 29, 2022
I love to play tug, chase, and fetch with people and would play all day if I could. I also love to entertain myself with chew toys and stuffies! I’ll often grab my favourite stuffy and run to my bed to play. I love going for walks, meeting new people, and smelling new things! I’m still learning that my leash isn’t for playing tug and that everyone I see doesn’t want to play with me. The more attention I get, the more my tail wags!
I’ve almost got this house-training thing completely figured out, but I’ve had a couple accidents while learning and getting used to new environments. I’ve started to let my foster Mom know when I have to go to the bathroom by whining or barking by the door.
I sleep through the night in my crate, and also go in there when my foster parent is at work. I may let out a bark or two when I first go in the crate, but I quiet down quickly and then greet when you with a smile and a wagging tail when I can come back out.
In my time at my foster home, one of the goofy things I do is steal everyone’s shoes – I just love them! Other than that, I’ve never touched anything that isn’t mine or done any damage. I’m very food motivated and will work hard to do whatever is asked of me if I can have some kibbles or a tasty treat! Right now, I’m working hard to learn basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘down’, and ‘off’.
I would love to find another playful dog in my furever home. I’m always trying to get my foster sister to play with me, but she just doesn’t seem to want to. I’ve also tried to play with the cat even though he runs away. I just don’t understand why he doesn’t want me to chase him! When I slow down for a minute, I’m a pretty snuggly little dude and just love to have my ears scratched and give you kisses!
If you’re looking for a Goofy pal who is excited to learn and explore the world then I’m your guy!” – xo, Goofy
