Hi! My name is
I have an Adoption Application Pending!
I’m the Dog of the Week!
Date of Birth
June 26, 2021
Are you looking for a cuddle buddy? A pup to lay at your feet and keep your toes warm? I’m the guy for you!! Do you like hugs because I love to get right up close to you and nuzzle my nose into your neck. I love a good belly rub too! If you can’t tell, I am very affectionate so I hope you are too.
Do you travel lots? I am really good in the car; no accidents or whining. I am potty trained but sometimes I can get a little too excited or too nervous and pee a little. I hope you can work with me on building confidence. It’s nice having a older confident canine around, she teaches me a lot and we have become very close. Even cats, I love cats. I get along great with the cat in my foster home.
I haven’t been on many walks because to be honest, that leash thing attached to my collar really freaks me out. For now I am cool to just sniff around the back yard or zoom zoom around the house. I’m very food motivated and ready to learn more commands. Right now I understand sit, place (or bed), no, and come.
I sleep in my kennel at night in the same room as my foster parents. I may whine for a minute or two but I settle quickly. If I have to be left alone for an hour or two, I will go in my kennel. I was tested to free foam once, and did really well.
Enough about me, I am SO ready to meet you!” – xo, Selkirk
