Anita is a sweet bunny who has settled in nicely to family life in her foster home. She is litter trained and loves routines. In the morning when humans come to the main floor she gets excited and will greet you with hops and binky’s around her forage mat as she waits for you to “hide” her pellets. She will also stand on her hind legs when you open the fridge to see if the vegetable drawer opens. Anita loves her veggies and will gently take them from your hand.

Like most bunnies, Anita prefers to stay close to the ground but will come to you for pets. She does well free roaming while supervised as long as cords are out of her reach. Anita does very well with our teenagers who are familiar with rabbit behavior. She can get scared and nervous if startled and she will go to hide in her log. She tolerates being held securely or in a blanket for grooming but it is not currently her favorite.

Anita has had exposure to the resident pets and her favorite is our small rescue dog. They will lay near each other, she will hop around him and lay in his bed. Our cat is aloof and Anita has had some interest in interacting with her. Anita doesn’t seem to like our two resident bunnies who are now finally bonded. We have just kept the other two separated from her to avoid having them bond together.
