About Henn

Looking for a very lucky family!

Henn is such a lovable and playful pup! She LOVES to play with other dogs after only a quick introduction. Having another dog in the home would help with her confidence as well. Once she is comfortable with you, Henn becomes so affectionate and loyal. She follows me around and naps nearby. Henn loves to give hugs and receive pets, and she will nudge you for even more! She is very quiet and easy going.

Henn quietly whines briefly when first crated, but she has also been trusted to sleep on her dog bed in the bedroom with us. Henn is still discovering toys; so far she likes to chew on nylabones or her stuffed animals. It has been such a delight having her in our home, seeing her progress, and receiving her love! One look in her eyes and your heart will melt!

Henn can be very cautious and timid. She warms up to women very quickly and then showers them with love, although men do take longer. Low and slow greetings help! Having the new people sitting on the floor and throwing treats in a different direction, getting Henn to retrieve them. This give Henn the choice to approach people when she feels comfortable. Henn has made a lot of progress in her short time in foster so far. We are still working on her confidence in going outside, and being around noisy televisions. She has had the rare accident in the house for this reason.

She would do best in a quiet home with a fully fenced yard while she builds confidence.  The only obstacle for Henn that I can see taking more time is her fear of being picked up or handled in some way, for instance when we need to go for a car ride. Despite this fear, she has never been aggressive. Adopters just need some patience and understanding, but this loving and beautiful girl will win your heart so fast you would do anything for her!

She is looking forward to meeting you!
