About Grover

“Hi! My name is Grover! Have you ever seen such a fuzzy face? I look a bit like a polar bear, but I assure you that I’m a dog.

Grover is the name and I came to AARCS as a stray from the City of Calgary. I like hanging out with people and sometimes get so excited when I meet them that I forget my manners and jump up. Because of this, It’s best that I go to a home with dog-savvy kids 14+.

While I really like people, I’m not keen on other dogs and would like to the the only canine in the home. I also find off-leash parks overwhelming so prefer walks or to play with my humans. I’ve heard rumors about furry things called ‘cats’ but I haven’t met any yet.

I’m hoping my new family will be eager to do some training with me, especially to help with jumping and pulling on leash. They also have to understand that my gorgeous locks will take time to brush and that I tend to shed quite a bit. Since I haven’t spent time in a foster home, no one knows how I am with being confined or left alone, but I’m always willing to learn.

I’d love an active family who has the time for training, walks, playtime, and of course some snuggles in between. So if you’re looking for a super-fuzzy friend to join your family, Grover is your boy!” – xo, Grover
