About Autumn

“Hi! I’m Autumn and if you are looking for a loyal best friend, I’m your girl!” – xo, Autumn

Autumn is a lovely young girl who initially came into AARCS’ care with her puppies. She was a very gentle and attentive mama who quickly worked her way into her foster mom’s heart. Now that her puppies have moved on, it’s time for sweet Autumn to find her very own furever home.

Autumn has a LOT to give—she is happy, calm, affectionate, well behaved, house trained, and LOADS of fun!! Her favourite games are playing keep away with a stuffed toy in the backyard and a good game of tug. Watching her goofy pounce and zoomies around the yard will fill you with laughter.

She also loves long walks/hikes and while she is an active girl, she is equally as comfortable snuggling for hours on the couch. She will let you know if you are falling behind with the belly rubs and neck scratches by gently nudging you with her paw. Autumn is also comfortable being left alone as long as she has a comfy bed to spread out on and her favourite things: stuffed toys, nylabones, and sometimes a kong filled with treats and a little peanut butter…

While Autumn has all this to offer, she also needs a few things from you in return. On meeting her, she is initially very shy/wary. It takes a little bit of time for her to warm up and trust someone new but once she does she will steal your heart! She would benefit from someone who understands shy/fearful dogs who can be patient with her and help her to build her confidence with things she finds scary in the world. This mainly includes strangers, men, cars (although once she’s in she relaxes) and other dogs.

If you can commit to showing her that the world isn’t so frightening you will be rewarded with more unconditional love than you can imagine. If you think you can offer her the love and care that she is so deserving of, please apply now!

Hugs and slurpy kisses are coming your way from Autumn!!
