Hi! My name is
I have an Adoption Application Pending!
Date of Birth

Chase loves people. In his enthusiasm, he may forget his manners at first and do some jumping up, but he seems to calm down fairly quickly after the initial greeting. Chase is a quick learner, particularly when there is a treat on offer. He sits and waits patiently until invited to come eat his dinner and has learned not to follow the wonderful food smells into the kitchen.
Chase is making a lot of progress with his confidence on walks. He is eager to meet new people, but very leery of strange dogs at first. Once they show themselves to be friendly and introductions are made, however, playtime is on! He may not be ready for dog parks or daycare yet and will need a patient and understanding adopter so he does not get overwhelmed too quickly.
Chase needs to go to a home with another small or medium sized friendly dog to help gain confidence from. He needs separated housing or to be in a townhouse, as he may cower when he sees other dogs, he is not ready for shared hallways just yet.
Housetraining is going extremely well. Given the opportunity, he goes outside consistently and he has never had an accident on the wood main floor. Very occasionally the carpet has been victim of a mishap when his human has failed to anticipate an urgent need.
When left to his own devices, he is generally very well behaved, although he does require some direction with respect to what things are okay to chew on. He shows no interest in furniture, however remotes and shoes may be less fortunate. Chase does not like being confined and is quite determined to get out when crated, so we have gone back to basics and are working on comfort with the crate in general for a bit before we give it another try.
