“The sweetest flower you will ever meet…with a lil bit of spunk to my step! My name is Hydrangea, but my foster home calls me Chloe. I was the runt in a litter of 5 puppies, but man am I growing! I’m a sweet girl who will give you lots of kisses. I’m a pretty active and fairly independent pup, but I also love being around my people. I am always up for a good cuddle, belly rub or nap on the couch with you.  One of my favorite places to sleep is on my people’s lap or next to them, or next to my sister…I love to cuddle! It keeps me warm.

I’m fairly comfortable with humans big and small as long as they are calm, gentle, and kind with me. So far I have met some great dog-savvy kids who I really love, but I can get a bit nippy when energy levels pick it up a notch. I am a little shyer and more nervous when it comes to meeting other dogs. I currently live with my two foster siblings (the “resident dogs”) and one of my littermates (Zinnia). My sister and I love wrestling, chasing each other around, and playing bite-face. I am just starting to play with the resident dogs as it took us awhile to get comfortable with each other. I’ll be honest, larger or more active dogs scare me and it may take me some time to get used to them. When I have met other dogs, I run away from them and seek shelter by my people. Slow introductions are necessary cuz the dog world can be frightening for me.  I would love to have a like-spirited doggy friend in my new home who can teach me the ropes, and help me be more brave.

Thanks to this thing called COVID, I would really love my new family to take me to some training classes, and some socialization classes with me. Both of these will help me bond with you but also help me grow into a brave young lady.

If you don’t work from home right now or have a resident doggy friend for me, I would love for my new home to take me doggy daycare or on pack walks so I can meet some new friends. Otherwise it would be super cool if you had lots of doggy friends for me to play with…like I said, some dogs scare me, so I need as much socialization and patience as possible so I can grow up to be big and brave! Will you help me reach that goal?

I’m a smart cookie….cookie, did I say cookie?! Where are the cookies!? I love cookies. I am a good eater, very food motivated (although still learning to be gentle when I take treats) and I know how to sit politely at meal. Smart, and food motivated?! Yes, let’s do some training together!

I’m a curious puppy, and like exploring and investigating new things. I love going on mini adventures around the yard but I often get cold….brrr, what’s going to happen come winter?! Will you buy me a coat?? When I am big enough, I would love to go on adventures with you.

My foster parents have a doggy door….I have to admit, it’s pretty awesome!! They are working from home right now so I can pretty much take myself out for potty breaks whenever I need to. Thanks to that doggy door, and the training that my foster parents and I put in, I am happy to report I am fully house trained!

I would love to find a family who I can shower with kisses and will love being with me as we explore new things together! If you are looking for a little explorer, maybe I can be your new BFF. If I sound like I will fit your household and lifestyle, put your application in for me and let’s see if we are a perfect match!” – xo, Hydrangea
