About Jones

“Hey there, my name is Jones! My foster mom says I’m a sweet and affectionate guy who loves giving kisses and getting scratches behind my ears.             .

I do really well when she leaves the house. I just go into my room, sleep in my kennel and patiently wait till she gets home. I also sleep through the night on my bed in her room. I’m fully house trained and have never had any accidents in the house.

I’m timid in new environments and will need a calm, patient owner who will help me build my confidence in new surroundings. I’m not very food motivated with the boring stuff (have you tried kibble? It’s nothing to get excited about) but sometimes you can motivate me with tasty dehydrated beef treats. When I sit my foster mom showers me with praise and that is better than any treat!

I love going for walks and am working on my leash manners like not pulling when I get excited. I’ve met a few tiny humans on these adventures and sometimes get a little too excited about my new friend that I try to hug them with my front paws. Because of this I’d do best in a home with kids 16+.

When I see dogs on my walk I like to bark and get super duper excited but I’m working on paying more attention to her than the other dogs. When we tried a dog intro I was simply rude and overwhelming, so I’d probably do best as the only dog in your house until I can gain more confidence and skills in this area. A leash reactivity class would be best for me and a home with a fenced yard to start us off on the right foot!

I’m so excited to find my forever home and I cant wait to meet you and shower you with love!” – xo, Jones
