About Starsky

“Hello Friends! My name is Starsky but my foster parents call me Watson!

I am just a big puppy who is looking for a furever home! I am a happy, goofy, playful boy, and when I play, I play HARD! I pull out all the toys and will switch from one to the other. I am still learning a lot of basics; especially walks. I don’t pull, I just walk real gentle, stopping to  smell all the flowers. My foster parents joke I’m a budding botanist because I smell all of the flowers, especially clovers, I love to lay in clovers.

I am learning so many things with my foster family! I learned my new name, sit, how to go up and down stairs, and more! Sometimes I have to take my time, but once I figure it out, I will do it with a swagger. I am also a cuddle monster! I just want to be as close to my humans as possible. I follow my foster parents everywhere – they call it the game of shadows. I get real upset when my foster parents go upstairs and whine from behind the gate. What if they forgot me? But then I come back and I get so excited it’s like I haven’t seen them for a million years!

I am still learning that my crate is a good place. I whine for a bit when placed in it but I will eventually settle. I’m more upset being away from you than being in the crate. I have met some of the neighbourhood kids and I’ve been great with them. They give me so many pets, sometimes I forget my puppy manners and jump up or lick their face, but once I’m laying down I take the pets as the lovable boy I am.

I would do best in an active, breed experienced home and a separated house with a yard while I work through being left alone. Until I learn my manners, no small kids for me in the home please. I am still learning not to be mouthy. Another dog to play with would be ideal but with the right family and training I would be happy on my own as well.

Hurry up and let’s meet! The game is AFOOT!” – xo, Starsky
