Hi! My name is
I’m an Animal in Care at AARCS
Domestic Short Hair
Date of Birth
October 18, 2020
Bedding has proven to be an energetic, engaging and affectionate cat. This young fellow is getting along great in a medium activity foster home with teens. Bedding would likely do well in a medium to high activity level home where he can play and interact in his rough-and-tumble style with other pets or humans. If he gets active play in the morning when he wakes up, and again in the evening, that is ideal. The combination of his pent up energy and fine hunting skills means Bedding might mistake a hand coming in for a friendly pet with a target to wrap his front paws around for wrestling. So it’s best to divert his energy with some hunting and catching games.
Bedding enjoys being picked up, carried, petted, and cuddled. Bedding likes sharing a bed at night with humans, or sitting with them on the sofa watching TV. He loves wand toys, cat tunnels, and all kinds of balls.
Bedding was a super star taking his oral medication twice a day while he recovered from FHO surgery. He didn’t mind being crated, enjoyed a few car rides, and even tried out a cat leash (indoors) without too much protest. Because Bedding has been such a good boy, he has free run of his foster home. He has been very gentle with all soft furnishings, rugs, etc. but was just a bit too curious about the low plants (which have now been moved up)
“If I were a gambler, I’d be “Bedding” on you to take me home!”
