About Azera

“Hi, my name is Azera and I love to spend time with my “peeps”. My foster family is so impressed with how quickly I learn things. I am still learning to be calm on my walks, and get really excited when I see new people to meet or other dogs to play with.

I love to cuddle, and also love to play. Sometimes when I get really excited after playing, I will try and get your attention by softly grabbing your hand to play more, but I am learning that there are better ways to get attention. I would do best in a home with a nice backyard to run around in, and maybe another fur sibling to play with, but am really content with my family too.

As I’m still a young dog I sometimes explore the world via my mouth. I can get over excited around people and sometimes get mouthy with hands and feet. It’s best to set me up for success, as soon as my teeth touch your skin, attention should go away. You can then ask me for a different skill such as sit before rewarding me for tasty treats. My foster mom says I am getting better with this. Some thins that would also help me are having a variety of things I can chew and mouth on instead. This can be Kongs stuffed with canned dog food, bully sticks, tug ropes, and playing fetch. It may be best for me to go to a home with older children until I learn how to appropriately play.

I happily will go into my kennel and am completely house trained. I can’t wait to meet you and find my forever family!” – xo, Azera
