“Hello! My name is Roderick. I’m a little shy at first but once I warm up to you I really love snuggles and cuddles so much!

I came to my foster house shy and reserved but after just two days I became quite playful and trusting. I love my foster momma so much that I just need to be with her each second of the day. But if you put me in my kennel with a blanket overtop I will settle down nicely. I’m getting to know my two resident siblings slowly, and have done really well on walks with them. I walk best on my leash, following my resident siblings, however because walking on a leash is new to me, I do need some encouragement.

I like watching my resident siblings play with my foster dad because it looks like so much fun and makes me wanna chase their ball around too. I’m happiest when I can lounge outside in the sun; as long as either my foster mom or dad are there to hang out with me. I love my humans!

I have already learned to do my business in the dog run at my foster house. They seem so happy with me when I go there so now I try to go there each time. However I’m still learning and have had a couple accidents in my foster house. Just like I’m learning, my parents are learning to that I have to go quite often.

I LOVE food and treats! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are my favorite times of the day because I get to eat three times! I already know how to sit for a treat and will go into my kennel if you put a treat in there. I really like to chew and I have been chewing on my foster sister’s big bone everyday. I am very smart. I already know the words, “no, down, and let’s go”. I am now learning the words, “kennel and come”.

Apparently I did really well meeting a little human (3 years old). I thought she was super fun because she gave me ice cubes (which I also love) and threw a ball around for my resident siblings. I was super gentle with her and didn’t jump up. My parents kept telling me how good of a boy I was. I am not very vocal unless I tell my parents I that I think its time for me to come out of my kennel. I love being petted but I prefer scratches under my chin as opposed to pats on top of my head until I get to know you.

I am such a cute cuddle bug, who is very affectionate and wants all of your attention. I am excited to meet you and see if you are my furever home!
