About Becker

“I’m a big, loveable, laid back guy. Have you ever had a puppy before? I could be your very own sweet cuddly guy!

My name is Becker and I’m a “Pyrenees mix.” I’m only 11 weeks old and I’m growing really fast. I’m already 24 lbs and 15 1/2 inches to my shoulder. I am looking for my forever and ever family. My sister Brie is looking for her forever family too.

I am living with two adults, an adult dog and 2 cats, and lots of people come to visit me. We all get along very well. The cats aren’t interested in me so I look at them but I don’t touch. My foster family is around all the time. When they do go out, they put me in my pen. I have the 2 other dogs to keep me company so I don’t get sad and lonely. Having another dog to play with in my new forever home would be nice.

Puppies have so much to learn, and you have to be a very calm and patient teacher!! I’m learning that when I pee outside, everyone gets excited and I get a treat. I will ring my dog doorbell or whine at the door when I want to be outside. I know when I come in the door, if I and sit on the mat, I get a treat and I’m very good at that.

I sleep about 7 hours at night without whining in my big crate or in my pen with my cozy blankets. I do like to sleep near you in your room so I know I’m not alone. I’m learning to walk on a leash but sometimes I need to follow a treat in your hand because I get kinda distracted. I’ll walk with you awhile and then I need to stop for a rest. It’s hard work making these giant paws work.

If I get bored, I get into trouble. Like chewing on things or digging trouble. So far, I haven’t chewed anything up. (I’m wishing for my very own slipper). I have done some digging, but not often.

I love kids and they all love me. They call me “Teddy Bear” because I’m so soft. I’m a big gentle, friendly, easy going, loveable guy. I like kids that are 7 and over especially if they have experience with pups. Littler kids just don’t know what to do with me.

I’m used to having my little sister Brie and my big foster dog with me all the time. If I’m in my pen or my big crate, a treat-stuffed toy (KONG type) keeps me busy. When I’m scared or overtired I will whine, (and occasionally I howl for a short time) to let you know I need you close to me. Sometimes I get scared when we ride in the car, but I try to just curl up and nap.

To know me is to love me. I know I’ll love you too. Will you be my new family and love me forever?” – xo, Becker
