Hi! My name is
I’m an Animal in Care at AARCS
Domestic Medium Hair
Date of Birth
January 29, 2020
Sweet, affectionate & shy guy –
Jabot is quite shy, but with some space and patience he can grow to become his sweet, confident self. He’s discovering he really does like people, and quite enjoys neck scratches or belly rubs and loves to be brushed – he’ll always purr blissfully while rolling onto his back and stretching out his paws. Jabot also really loves to play with things on strings or a laser pointer will keep him completely entertained, then in his down time he likes to find a perch where he can watch life going on through the windows. This kitty still gets a bit spooked by sudden movements or sounds, but over time he’s quicker to calm down, and sometimes doesn’t even flinch. Occasionally he doesn’t mind being picked up, but it does make him feel a bit nervous, and left in control is his preference. He is awaiting dental surgery very soon, but otherwise is in great health. Jabot is starting to come and seek us out, usually in the evening, he gives us adorable silent meows as he timidly advances closer, which actually look like a toothy kitty smile… which just melts our hearts every time.
Because Jabot is quite timid and rather fearful, he’d likely do best in a quiet household with his people home rather a lot – he’d do better in a home without small children – older teenagers would likely suit his personality better.
This sweetie is a lovely feline companion given patience, space and time to adjust into his forever home.
