About George

“Hello! My name is George. I arrived at AARCS when I was three months old and have been very busy learning about the world in my foster home. I’ve heard I’m a very handsome boy, and will be a lot bigger than I look now! I’ve been growing like a weed and have the big feet to prove it!

I really love playing outside in the snow, but I have been learning that being inside with a family has its perks too (lots of treats!) I have been working hard on housetraining and am proud to say, I don’t have too many accidents anymore as long as I am let out often. I have even been starting to learn how to walk on a leash which has been so exciting.

I’ve been learning quickly that the world is a super fun place, but sometimes I can be nervous when something is new or I feel overwhelmed. I love hanging out with my foster brother, so would likely do well with another buddy and lots of positive experiences and encouragement  to help me continue to build my confidence.

My foster mom also says I am very smart! I have quickly learned how to sit, shake a paw, and absolutely love toys like the Kong Wobbler. When I get excited I really like to tell everyone how much fun I am having by barking, so a detached home might be best for me. She says I would do best in a home with a back yard while I build my confidence.

I know I am the total package – good looks, brains, and personality but I really hope I will find a family who is happy to work with me to learn about how great the world is. If this sounds like you, apply to meet me today!” – xo, George
