About Bubba

“Hello! My name is Bubba, and I just want to be loved.

I’m a super sweet, gentle boy. Don’t let my grey beard fool you, I’m still a puppy! I came from a home with a few other dogs and I was outside a lot of the time. Because of this, I’m pretty friendly with other dogs, but I’m still figuring out how to ask to go outside to use the washroom. Don’t worry, I’m pretty smart, so I’ll figure it out soon!

I already know how to sit and lay down. I’m great at going for walks, and I’m friendly to strangers. I haven’t met any kids yet, but my foster mom thinks I’ll be great with them! There wasn’t a lot of food at my old place so I’m a bit skinnier than I should be, but don’t worry, my foster parents are giving me lots and lots of treats so I’ll be a healthy weight in no time. Because I’m not used to eating as much as I should, when I’m fed I tend to eat really quickly, so I’ll need a slow feeding bowl so that I don’t hurt my tummy.

I’m not so sure about cats. If they run away, I can’t help myself but to chase them, so I’d be best off in a home with no cats for now. My foster parents are working on crate training me, but I’m still not 100% sure about being in the crate, so sometimes it’s nice when someone sits with me after the crate door closes for a few minutes until I’m comfortable. With time and routine, I’m sure I’ll be good at being in a crate one day soon!

Overall, I’m looking for a home where I will be loved, and for people who are really good at giving tummy scratches, because those are my favorite. I do like to cuddle, and I like it when people hold hands/paws with me, it makes me feel safe. What do you think, am I the dog for you?” – xo, Bubba
