Hi! My name is
I’m an Animal in Care at AARCS
Siberian Husky/German Shepherd/Mix
Date of Birth
December 7, 2014
If you know about huskies, then you know we like to talk to our people. I’m not a barker but do like to greet you with husky talk. Have I told you that I like to smile? Well I really do – it looks like I have a snarl on my face but it’s really a smile. My foster parents think I am so funny when I smile!
I am described as sweet, gentle, happy and laid-back. I am not selective, in terms of who I love more, with my foster parents – I love them both!! I’m happiest when I am around my people!! I do my business outside, I sleep all night, I don’t destroy anything (no chewing for me), and I am good on leash.
I was reactive towards the two resident dogs, when I arrived. I was afraid so I needed to growl/snarl and lunge at them but that has changed somewhat since. Now, I really like the small resident dog – I like to clean his ears and try to get him to play (but he won’t because he is pretty old). The bigger resident dog is a bit of a challenge for me but we are working things out. No cats in my foster home so I’m not sure how I would be with them. There aren’t any kids here either but my foster parents think I will really like them because I am so gentle.
I’m very adaptable – I could be with an active or a laid-back family. My foster parents say I am going to make my forever family very happy!!” – xo, Tinsel
