Hi! My name is
I have an Adoption Application Pending!
Terrier, Pit Bull/Mix
Date of Birth
August 30, 2020
Taylor is still working on developing good doggy manners. Because of her initial isolation, she has some learning to do on how to appropriately interact with other dogs. Right now she would do best with another puppy-tolerant large to medium breed dog in the home to help show her the ropes. She will need ongoing work on the puppy basics, like crate and house training. Taylor is very cautious and uncertain in new situations, and seems to be initially more fearful of men. However, with proper introductions, she quickly warms up to new people.
She can be nervous in the big wide world on leash, and may hide behind mom and dad for a bit so a home experienced in puppy raising and positive socialization would be ideal to help Taylor grow! She can be vocal occasionally when crated, and who can blame her, she was more or less kept in doggy jail in quarantine for months! She would do best in a house with a yard so in case she is vocal there aren’t any neighbours nearby.
She has a lot of energy, loves to play fetch and run around, but is still working on how to best direct that energy. When she gets overly excited, she has a tendency to chew on everything around her, including you. She would do best in a home with no children, and experienced dog owners who are prepared to continue to work on this with her. Taylor is a sweet puppy, but like a 2 month old in a 5 month old’s body, so she has a bit of training and catching up to do!
She has a lot of energy, but once that is expended, there’s nothing she loves more than crawling into your lap for a little nap. Taylor has a lot of love to give, with the right owner, she will surely excel and learn how to be the best dog she can be!
