Hi! My name is
I’m an Animal in Care at AARCS
Date of Birth
November 25, 2018
My fosters parents and I (and my two foster brothers) are working hard to show me that life is supposed to be filled with a warm bed, lots of kisses, guaranteed meals and SO much love. I’m really beginning to love my brothers and I look to them for encouragement and they’re even helping me build my confidence! We go on tons of pack walks and I like to walk in the middle of the two of them, I feel safest there. I’ve started to really like going on walks and be outside, in general. My foster Mum says that we might try a short hike over the holidays! I’m all house trained and only had 2 accidents on my first night (which is because my tummy was upset, so not my fault).
I do well with both my collar and I even let my foster parents put a harness on me without complaining. I’m still a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people or seeing other dogs on walks. I like to observe from a distance and do things on my own terms, which my foster parents say is totally okay! I’ve been doing training classes with my foster Dad and he said I’ve been the quickest to learn everything! I already know sit, down and leave it (this one takes a little more prompting, because I just love food and treats!).
I love when my foster parents talk to me and rub my belly. My tail just won’t stop wagging! Stay tuned for more updates about me as I continue to heal in care and hopefully soon to find my forever home.” – xo, Damsel
