Hi! My name is
Siberian Husky/German Shepherd/Mix
Date of Birth
March 23, 2015
My favourite thing to do is spend time with my humans! I love spending time in the great outdoors with them… leashes however? Not my fave. I prefer to roam freely, so a backyard at home would be awesome for me. When I do need to be on a leash, my humans find a front clip harness helps to control me from tugging you all the way to the park! When I’m home alone that’s my time to hang out and watch the house. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you come home to everything as you left it and lots of kisses!
My foster parents will tell you I warm up to people pretty easily, as long as you let me take a sniff first. I’ve met a few kids as tall as me on my walks and it’s been great! I haven’t met a baby since I got to my foster’s place, but my previous home says I didn’t do well with theirs, so I’d be cool with a home who’s kids aren’t too small.
When we go on walks I love meeting new human friends, however if we see other animals like squirrels, bunnies, or cats, I get SO excited and just want to chase after them! I don’t know why they won’t play with me. I also get excited when we walk past other dogs – I really do just want to play but I think sometimes I scare them off. I’ve had good experiences with other dogs when we get proper introductions though! For this reason, it would be best if I was the only animal in the home, or get a good introduction to them first so I know if we’d get along. Hopefully you can teach me how to be more calm around animals so I can meet new friends – I’ve been told I’m a great learner!
Not to brag, but since I’ve been in foster care, I haven’t had an accident in the house – not even ONCE! I came to AARCS with a medication to help with that, so I’m really good at holding it in until you’re home from work. I will always let you know when I gotta go! I also take a thyroid medication to help keep me nice and healthy. I love taking them stuffed in treats!
If you’re as excited to cuddle me as I am for you, apply to adopt me today! ” – xo, Missy
