Hi! My name is
I have an Adoption Application Pending!
Date of Birth
October 26, 2017
I am a kind and gentle soul and would like a home that reflects my nature. I love being part of a pack and get along well with other dogs and prefer female dogs. They make me calm and help me feel more comfortable, even encouraging me to play my favourite game of mimicking. I don’t like loud noises or too much excitement so a quiet, smoke-free home with other gentle dogs is best. I don’t have much experience with kids and I think they might be too loud or pull on my tail which I don’t like.
I am fully potty trained and I like my couch and my kennel. If I get a good walk in the morning, I’m pretty happy to relax the rest of the day and watch the world go by. My foster mom is working on sit, stay, kennel, and free commands, and I also understand the word kennel. I am still timid of humans so I’m a bit nervous when being approached and my recall is not good.
I don’t like being overly touched quite yet but it you rub my head and cheek just the right way, I come around. I walk really well on a leash and its best to use two leashes in case I get scared and slip out of either my collar or harness. I am ok with you using both because I really like living in a home with my humans. Because I don’t have a lot of experience with humans, I think my new parents should be more experienced with dogs. I’m a bit nervous when I meet new dogs but if everyone takes it slowly and I can sniff the other dog, I make friends really fast. Oh, I haven’t met many cats so I don’t know how we will get along.
I love going on long walks. I especially loves walks on trails so I can use my nose and then somehow I forget about all my past troubles and my tail swings up a bit and you can see me smile. My furever humans will need to give me some space to get comfortable with you. I will need lots of kind patience to help me rebuild my trust but I’m definitely interested in seeing humans in a new light and am look forward to working on bonding with them in my furever home.
I am a beautiful dog who will make a great quiet friend to a gentle and thoughtful soul.” – xo, Torlea
