About Presley

“Hey, I am Presley and I just LOVE being around people. I love everyone and just want to be near you all the time. I came from Southern Alberta and I was pretty thin (but I am gaining weight by the day!), and really beat up. I was attacked by other dogs and also quilled, but despite this my Foster folks say that I am just really a happy friendly guy.

Because I was hungry for so long, I am food obsessed and have to be crated or separated when people eat or make food. I am not aggressive at all, but will jump up and counter surf a bit. My Foster mom has been working on getting me to sit and be patient and I am trying very hard and getting better.

I do not like being confined and am very vocal, but I sleep outside of the crate at night without any issues. I have been good left alone in the house outside the crate for 45 minutes, and my Foster Mom is testing me out with being left alone a bit longer. I also am not fond of the car and get pretty anxious in there, but I do get treats for going in, so I am getting better.

I really really love company and people, so I would LOVE a home where someone is around most of the time.  I have been very gentle with kids, but because of the jumping, little kids might not be best.  I haven’t been tested with cats or dogs, but do have a prey drive (watch out bunnies), so I might not be good for a home with small animals.

I LOVE cuddling and snuggling and giving you my paw or paws. I can hardly wait to meet you and be your shadow!” – xo, Presley

Do I Need Special Care?

Both, Medical and Behavioral - He was quilled and is also suffering from a possible dog attack on his back end. His behaviour is generally good, but he does jump up, counter surf and barks when left alone. He can get a little too excited by food and getting something away from him he shouldn't have can get a bit tricky. He is also not fond of being crated and will howl and bark.
