About Brawnie

Brawnie is a beautiful, brown eyed girl with a very gentle demeanor. She is looking for a forever home with another playful canine friend.

She loves to wrestle and play tug-o-war with her foster sister. Despite her joy during playtime, she is very calm and quiet (I’ve only heard a few barks). She participates on movie night by part napping and part watching with interest. She’s very content to entertain herself with her toys when she’s on her own.

She is still learning what to do with us humans. While she’s very gentle being hand fed and taking treats, she still has concerns with all the movement people make. She will need a safe space that is hers to retreat too. She’s happy sleeping on her own personally claimed chaise lounger for the night. She is pee pad trained but hasn’t progressed to outside business yet. I’m sure as she learns more training she will master this quickly. She is still scared of leashes and touching but will allow some. This sweet girl is very special and has such potential. The right home will give her patience and time but don’t worry… she is 100% committed to the domestic doggie diva lifestyle.

She would highly benefit from a detached home with a securely fenced yard as she is still not comfortable with handling/leashes; she has yet to go on a walk. Brawnie is aloof at times, she finds more comfort in other dogs than people. This may stem from semi-feral behaviours,  but she is slowly learning to seek comfort and praise from humans, although she will often retreat to her safe place when uncertain. She would do best in an experienced home that has worked with extremely fearful dogs before and at the dogs pace. She is safest when transported in her kennel.
