“Hi friends! My name is Sisky, I’ve been told I’m a “Min pin” but my foster pawrents often call me “sweet baby girl” so I am a bit confused as to what I am….let’s just say I am both I had a rough start in life and when I arrived to AARCS I was very scared and upset with so many new faces and an unfamiliar place I didn’t know what to do with myself! Luckily, that is all in the past and AARCS found me a foster family to love me and patiently walk me through all of this “family pet” lifestyle, let me tell you, it was a real journey! I was scared of them at first, but they gave me space and time and waited for me to come around when I was ready…guess what’s the first thing I learned? Humans are alright! I was fed, I was warm and I had a safe place to sleep, I even had two doggy friends to keep me company and show me the ropes, having a family sure feels awesome!

Fast forward 3 months later and here I am, ready for a family to call my own! I have learned to walk on a leash, go potty outside (I can also use a pee pad indoors!), I get along well with little doggies like me, and I have no problem being home alone. I am a perfect little lady who would never chew or destroy anything. I am also crate trained and I sleep through the night, and my foster mom says I’ve blossomed into the sweetest cuddle bug, I fit in any lap!

Now, I have to be honest, I am looking for a very special family, because even though I am ready to give my heart to a lucky someone, I need them to be patient and understand my personality and boundaries. I am very loving but I scare easy. I am looking for a family with a fully fenced yard and no young kids as children who are too young to know how to approach me can be very scary to me, so I would prefer no kids. I would love to have a doggy friend to hang out with, preferably close to my size. I don’t have experience with bigger dogs but if they are calm and respectful to me I am sure I will warm up to them in time.

My family needs to be patient and experienced with shy dogs. I might be a little scared and shut down for a bit when you take me home, but that is only because new faces and situation are scary to such a little thing like me, but I promise you I am worth it. I will come around in no time. I have so much love to give and my foster pawrents say I am so smart and sweet, they are so proud of me and they tell me every day.
