About Ludwik

“Hi! My name is Ludwik, but my foster mom says I should be called Cupid, as I make people fall in love with me. She says it’s cause I’m so sweet, loving and the most cuddly pup she’s ever met!

I’m also very smart and figure out things quickly. My foster mom has to lock the food bin now, as I figured out what the big button on top does. Nom nom nom! I’m good at stopping when being told no. I’m still a pup and am curious about the world so sometimes I just don’t know what things I’m allowed to play with or chew on, but I‘m a smart boy and with your help, will figure it all out.

I LOVE to play with the resident dog Amber! We play and play all day long and it makes me so happy! I enjoy snooze breaks between plays and if you’re around, I’ll for sure take a snuggle. I’m a very affectionate boy and would happily cuddle into you for the night. Sometimes cuddling is SO exciting that I might give your hand a little lick and nibble, but I won’t hurt you I promise, I’m just learning how to control my excitement right now. Because I am a big puppy, a home without the small kids would be best!

Speaking of excitement, when I see people walk by, I like to bark so they know I’m there! My friend Amber was doing it so figured I better do it too. Standing on the couch watching the world go by is fun. Sometimes I snuggle with Amber and we watch the world go by together.

This loving home business is the best, I like it so much that I can get upset when my humans leave. I just want us to be together all the time for fun and cuddles. Please be patient with me while I learn that sometimes my humans have to pop out for a while. I go in my crate while they are away, and I howl and bark at first, but settle in and sleep after a while.  Maybe you have a room I can hang out in while you’re gone? Just leave me lots of toys for me to chomp on and I’ll be happy. No condos or apartments for me please, while I figure this out. Lately I have been doing great, and have been left for full work days with only minor complaining. I am a quick learner!!

Did I mention I’m fully house trained? My foster mom didn’t even have to train me; I already had this going outside business down and have never gone inside the house.

I’m incredibly gentle when I’m given a treat. I never snatch or grab and don’t have to be told to be gentle.  I’m quite curious about food so you might find me observing you when you’re in the kitchen!

Although I am a great boy and I love my people, I am still learning to not bark at other dogs when I see them on leash. Right now if dogs approach me I get frustrated and let them know how I feel. I will need a patient family to help me work through this, one who can take me to a leash reactivity class would be the best. However, I LOVE my dog foster sister so much, that with the right intros another chill but playful dog could be just perfect for me. I just need to figure out how to meet other dogs nicely first.

All I want is love and a cozy bed to sleep in. I will love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to meet you!” – xo, Ludwick
