Hi! My name is
I’m an Animal in Care at AARCS
Dachshund, Standard Smooth Haired/Mix
Date of Birth
June 25, 2017
Tori has met small children and is not comfortable with their fast movements and loud voices. Loud noises in general startle her easily. She is being fostered with a large resident dog, and she is very comfortable being around her. She just isn’t interested in any kind of play. She has met a cat a few times and was very respectful and just wanted to social distance.
She doesn’t ask to go outside to do her business, but knows what to do when let out. Her ideal home would allow her to sleep with them, but she is also ok with sleeping in a crate beside you too. Any chance she gets Tori will jump on your lap for snuggles throughout the day. She is the epitome of a lapdog!
It will take a bit for Tori to warm up to new people. But once she feels safe with you she never wants to leave your side. Because of this she gets anxious when left alone. She does ok for short spurts left in her crate, but may be vocal if left too long. Therefore a detached home is best suited for her. She loves to be in your presence more often than not.
If you think you are a great match for her, fill out an app. She is ready to meet you!
