“Hi, my name is Joben! I am a very affectionate young guy who loves to chase toys and snuggle with my people.” – xo, Joben

Joben was found as a stray and brought in to AARCS’ care. He has been extremely good at taking his medication for bronchitis – if you just drop the pill in his food bowl, he will eat it right up with his dinner. He has a great appetite and a strong stomach – he’s eaten some of the dog’s kibble with no ill effects, and transitioned off his old food to his new food easily.

He is the most affectionate cat; constantly rubbing his face on mine and asking to be picked up. He loves to give hugs and be held with one arm around each side of my neck. He will make himself at home lying right on top of you if you let him. He is also very energetic and playful; chasing cat toys around the until they get lost under the couch.

He has a tendency to give “love bites” on fingers, toes, ears, and even the occasional nose, which are usually very gentle. He can be quite vocal when he is hungry, but he has a sweet voice and a wonderful purr. He has done well when left at home alone for a few hours at a time, both with the dog in his crate and when he has been alone.

Joben is litter box trained and has not had any accidents. He is friendly with our resident dog, though he will hiss if he is surprised by the dog coming around the corner. Joben is a joy to foster and it will be sad to see him move on, but I am so excited for him to find his forever family!

If you’re looking for a highly affectionate cat, Joben is the one for you!
