About Demayo

“I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Demayo. My foster mom says I’m a sweet girl and such a pleasure to have around. Maybe that’s true, all I know is, I’m just happy to have a safe place to hang out and friends who love me.

I’m looking for a place and a family of my very own. I have so much love to give and I don’t need much in return. Just a walk and some snacks and a few belly rubs, and I’m as happy as can be. I’m super easy going, and ready to do whatever you feel like doing! If you want to go for a hike, great! If you want to go for a drive, awesome, please roll a window down so I can stick my nose out. If you want to snuggle on the couch and watch TV, perfect, just make a little extra room for my head on your lap.

I’m a grown up dog so I already know all about doing outside business. I’ll let you know if I need to go out. I can jump REALLY high, so I need to have a good tall fence to keep me safe. I also know not to chew things or take things out of the trash and all those other annoying puppy things. (Sometimes shoes smell like they need to die, but I know that’s probably a trick a cat thought up to get dogs in trouble! Ha-ha cats, I’m not falling for it!  I don’t like cats!)

I love people so much. I just want to hug everyone I meet. I didn’t know that some people don’t like hugs! My foster mom has explained that, and I’m practicing my not jumping up skills. It’s so hard to tell everyone how happy I am to meet them while I’m sitting on my butt. I love to go for walks! There are SO many great things to smell and see! I didn’t know there would be squirrels and bunnies in the city! I would love to meet the city bunnies and squirrels! My foster mom says it’s not safe. I’m not sure about that, they’re pretty small and I’m pretty big, so…  Anyway, if mom say no, she means no, so I’m practicing being really still and quiet when I see those little fellas.

I have a foster brother doggo. We have a great time wrestling and stuff. I like to take his toy and run off with it. I think that is a funny game. He doesn’t get it back until he chases me. It’s hilarious! Oh my gosh, I’m exciting just thinking about it!

So that’s enough about me. I’d love to know all about you. Let’s get together sometime and get to know each other! See you soon!” – xo, Demayo
