About Ohana

“Hi! My name is Ohana and I was found at the dump. I started out as a scared little boy but you should see me now! When I was found with three of my siblings, my hair was matted and I was very unsure about human interaction. I really am incredibly loving and really want to give everyone a chance to get to know me. I need a slow introduction and patience because when I get scared I try to hide in the house. I am just afraid and trying my best to be left alone, but I am slowly coming out of my shell.

I love being close to my resident dog, so my foster family thinks I need a home with another dog – big or small I don’t discriminate! I also love the resident cat; I never chase her and I always show her the utmost respect.

My foster family has noticed that I really enjoy laying outside and generally just being outside, so they think I would prefer a home with a fenced yard so I can be comfortable. I love to play with toys and I am very good with sharing all the toys with the resident dog. I also love chewing on raw hide bones in my spare time. I go for daily walks to the park that I just love going to – I never pull on the leash so I’m very easy to walk.

I have never met kids, but I do think that with slightly older kids that understand they need to be gentle with me and quiet while we are getting to know one another I would do really well! I am currently working on tuning out my puppy nibbling when I get excited and I am also working on sleeping in my kennel at night, but good news is I can last 8 hours in my kennel and hold my bathroom breaks until the morning! This makes it nice for my fosters because I let them sleep through the night!

Because I am still working on being left alone, apartments or condos would not be suitable at this time. It is a big world to adjust to, so a house with someone able to work on this with me, would be the absolute best!” – xo, Ohana
