About Socket

Slightly Timid

“Hi my name is Socket (aka Elsa) I am a sweet and talkative little girl.

I love to explore and play with my feather wand. I also love my humans and I like to talk to them with my many expressive meows and trills. I am happy to be picked up and held and I will purrrrr loudly as soon as I even think you’re going to pet me (my foster family says have a very loud purr). I am not much for lap sitting yet but sometimes I’ll sit beside you on the couch/bed (my foster family says they are working on making me a lap cat and I have made a bit of progress, I am just so curious about everything going on in the house that I don’t have time to sit in laps).

I also like to lay in my cat house and look outside, watch the birds or sit in a sunny spot. I am very playful and I often entertain myself before seeking out my humans for a quick chat or a wand chase. I am pretty good with other cats, and it would be great if I had a young playmate (the resident cats in my foster home are too crotchety to play with me, no matter how hard try to entice them). There is a small dog in my foster home and to be honest I haven’t made up my mind about her, mostly I want to pounce on her (she is smaller than me after all). When I see her I poof up my tail but I have never growled or hissed at her so I think with a little bit of patience and work I would do well with dogs.

There are only teenagers at my house and I do well with them however I can be easily startled by loud noises or fast movements so I think that older children would be best.

I can’t wait to meet my furever family and tell you all about myself!”
