You would have to look far and wide to find a pup more perfect than Dorothy.

Dorothy is a happy pup and has a personality that is the right combination of affectionate and independent. When you pick her up she cuddles right in as if there is nothing better in her world; during other occasions when you are busy she is happy to play with her litter mate or relax with a toy.

Dorothy has spent time with a 10 year old child on several occasions. Both pup and child enjoy each other’s company very much. Dorothy does not nibble on hands or clothing and if she jumps up when excited to see you, she understands the command “off”. She also knows her name, demonstrates good recall and has the patience to sit quietly while you fill her food dish. When you talk to Dorothy or she happens to hear a dog bark on TV, she listens intently and does the head tilt, that’s her way of processing sounds.

Dorothy has a loud bark but only uses it when she is having so much fun playing keep away with her littermate. She is inquisitive. likes to check out her surroundings and has been known to unload a clothes hamper or gently pull stacked towels off the dryer.

From the first day Dorothy arrived at our house she knew to use the pee pads and has continued to do so 100%. She has not had the opportunity to be outside; however, once the weather warms it should not be difficult for her to transfer that skill to the outdoors.

A lucky family is going to have the lovely Dorothy to enhance their lives.
