Hello Good Friends! My name is Rochester, and I am such a gentleman for my young age. I am looking for a family that enjoys the balance of life including the outdoors, indoors, family, and independence.

“I thrive around my people and other dogs, and I think that another dog in my life would be so fun. However, I would also suffice with pets and love from a human family! I am interested and gentle with the cats I know now, and don’t pay much attention to the pretty birds and rabbits I see on my walks. I enjoy relaxing and chewing on bones and sticks (or the occasional shoe, im still a youngin!) with my family, or if you are a down for a game of fetch/ chase I am your guy! What I mean to say is I dont mind entertaining myself as long as I can hang out close to you.

I sleep the night happily in my crate for eight hours and don’t mind hanging out in there when you leave the house or if I need a moment to calm down. When I am out and about I prefer to be hanging out with you or relaxing with a toy. I am a little bit more apprehensive outside with all the sights and smells on walks, but I am working on confidence downtown Calgary and doing better every day. I went out to the lake to paddleboard and swim and did well with all of the hustle and bustle, I even tried out the paddleboard and can swim well!

Kids are super cool and fun. When they are loud it can be a little intimidating, but once I understand I am protective and kind. I have a rough and tumble playstyle and I like to mouth and wrestle my doggie friends! I am loyal to my humans and will stick close to them and check in often on walks. I can be a little mischievous but I aim to please. I use the bathroom outside when I am let out consistently. Sometimes when I get the zooms I have to work on a little bit of light mouthing and jumping up, but I am naturally a very cool, calm, and collected adolescent.

If you are looking for a confidant to relax with on long walks… I’m not going anywhere! I have a naturally hesitancy to move away from my people, and am more interested in you and other dog friends than wandering off.
