About Bowtie
She may come across as a bit shy at first, but give her a little time—and a few treats—and you’ll see just how affectionate and connected she can be. She warms up at a normal, steady pace and clearly wants to form a bond with her person. This food-motivated cutie is all about the snacks. Toss a few soft treats into a snuffle mat or hand her a Kong wobbler, and she lights up with focus and enthusiasm. She’s quick to sit when asked, though she does sometimes take treats with a bit too much gusto—something that could be gently worked on as she settles into her new home.
She’s not into toys that often, but she’ll gladly trade a game of fetch for a pocketful of kibble. Currently, Bowtie is feeling pretty stressed in the shelter environment. She’s been unable to fully relax and has even tried to nose her way out—until treats came to the rescue, that is! With encouragement and patience, she is learning to channel her energy and seek comfort from her handlers (especially if they have a treat pouch!).
While Bowtie does love people and seeks connection, she can be a bit vocal when overwhelmed or uncertain. Because she’s still working on building confidence, she’ll do best as the only dog in the home for now, where she can receive calm, consistent support without the pressure of other canine companions. What Bowtie really needs is a kind and understanding adopter who will give her the time and space to settle in, learn to trust, and feel safe. In return, she’ll offer loyalty, charm, and plenty of affection—especially if there’s a treat bag nearby.
If you’re looking for a food-loving, people-adoring pup with the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion, Bowtie just might be your girl!
