Everyone loves to tell me how cute I am (and not to brag, but they’re totally right)! But under this adorable exterior, I’m a bit of a sensitive fellow. New people and loud, fast things (especially kids!) can be a little scary for me, so I’d do best in a calm home where I can feel safe and take my time opening up.

I can be shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, I love pets, attention, and snuggling up with my person. I’m a total lap cuddle bug! Naps on the couch, cozy blankets, and curling up in your lap are some of my favorite things. I also really enjoy car rides and going on short walks where I can sniff all the interesting smells. I’m very polite on a leash and won’t pull you around.

I’m okay with some other dogs, but I’m pretty particular about who I get along with. I need slow, respectful introductions and a little time to decide if I feel safe. I’m not one to jump into friendships, more of a “get to know you first” kind of guy.

When left alone, I can get a little anxious, but my crate is my comfort zone. After a few minutes of whining, I’ll settle in, curl up in my blankets, and take a nice nap. I also like sleeping in my crate at night, it’s my little den of calm.

What I really need is someone patient and kind who can help me build up my confidence and show me the world isn’t such a scary place. I may be a little nervous at first, but with love and consistency, I promise I’ll become the sweetest, most loyal companion you could ask for.
