About Simba

Meet Simba, a big-hearted boy with a gentle soul who’s looking for the perfect place to call home!

This handsome guy has so much love to give, and he’s hoping to find a patient, understanding family who can help him continue to build his confidence and feel safe in the world.

Simba is especially nervous around men, so slow, positive introductions are a must to help him feel comfortable. Once he trusts you though, he gives the best hugs and leans right in for affection—he truly has a heart of gold. Simba would thrive in a detached home with a private, fenced yard where he can relax, explore, and stretch out those long legs. He also is still getting used to the whole leash-walking, so he sometimes is nervous to venture out on walks. He would love to find a home that can help him master his walking!

He would do best with a family who has experience with guardian breeds and understands their protective nature. These breeds are naturally watchful and cautious, especially in new situations. With guidance, Simba is learning to navigate the world with a little more bravery every day. Older children would be the best match for Simba, as he continues to gain confidence and learn to trust. He’s a sweet, loyal companion who just needs time, love, and patience to truly shine. With consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and a calm environment, Simba will blossom into the confident, devoted dog he’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a big, soft-hearted boy who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved, Simba might be your perfect match. He’s ready to give his whole heart to the right family—could that be you?
