About Liza
Liza is a joyful little pup with a huge heart and a deep love for her humans. Her ideal day includes cuddling up close (the closer, the better), enjoying a tasty meal, and greeting absolutely everyone she passes like a long-lost friend. This girl is a total sweetheart—she adores attention, is easy to handle, and has no issues with being picked up (she still needs a little help with stairs sometimes). Whether you’re sitting down or moving about, she’s right there with you, always happy to be involved in whatever you’re doing.
Liza hasn’t had the chance to spend time with young kids just yet, but she does great with teens. She’s also a fan of strangers—she’ll stop in her tracks to gaze at passersby, try to follow them for more pets, and welcomes love from new friends with open paws. With other dogs, she’s curious and friendly, and she’s been known to enjoy a good play session with the neighbor’s pup. She may take a little longer to warm up to larger dogs for play, but she always approaches with gentle interest.
Liza enjoys her daily walks and takes her time sniffing and observing everything around her. She’s got a keen nose and an even keener sense for when she’s almost home—at which point she might get a little excited and start to pull. That said, she’s not exactly a fan of bad weather. If the ground is wet or it’s too chilly, she’d much prefer to stay cozy indoors (who can blame her?).
Liza is doing well in her crate training—she hasn’t spent long periods in it since her people are often home, but she settles in quickly and quietly when it’s time. If you step out, she’ll simply snooze until you’re back. However, if you’re just behind a closed door, she may let out a little whine—she really does love to be near you! She’s still working on house training and does best with regular, consistent routines—especially going out right after waking up or eating.
Liza eats with enthusiasm (read: lightning speed!) and is learning to wait patiently for her meals. She shows no signs of food guarding and is perfectly fine if you need to take something away—though she may give you a “but why?” look in response.
Liza would thrive in a home where she can get lots of cuddles. She loves companionship, gentle encouragement, and plenty of affection. She’s a loving, playful, and sensitive pup who will reward you with endless loyalty, soft snuggles, and a lifetime of love.
Ready to welcome your new best friend? Liza can’t wait to meet you!
