““Hello!! My name is Laura. I came to AARCS with 4 beautiful pups; they were only about 2 weeks old. All my pups have found homes and now it’s my turn to find my Forever Home! The foster Mom that helped me whelp my pups needed to move on to a new litter, so I have gone on to a new foster home. New adventures ahead!

I have been with my foster Dad and 4 Husky playmates for about 3 weeks now. I fit in right from the start and love playing with my new brothers and sisters, as you can see in the video on my profile. I get to sleep in a nice comfortable crate all night, after first couple nights, Dad [that’s what I like to call my new foster Dad, as he makes me feel like one of the family] now leaves the crate door open for me. I think it’s so I can come out in the morning and cuddle up on his bed with all my new brothers and sisters. It is a tight squeeze!

We lead a pretty relaxed life here with many comfortable beds for me to relax in. I am a very quiet girl and will only talk to the deer passing through our yard, otherwise I don’t make a sound. My Dad takes me on walks in town a couple times a week, otherwise we walk on our quite road. I meet lots of nice people and little people on our walks and other dogs, all of whom I get along with. I am a little shy or cautious on first meeting, but as soon as they let me smell them, I am ready for any affection they want to give me! I love affection, both receiving and giving! On one walk I even got to touch noses with some BIG dogs…oh my! [My Dad tells me they were horses?] They don’t phase me!

My Dad makes me Sit and Wait for my meals and on our walks, he is always asking me to Heel, Sit, Come. I don’t know why he keeps asking me, as I know all the basic requests he makes of me? Dad says I am very good on a leash, as I don’t pull…at all! Even when my nose leads me somewhere!

When I first came to my new home, I did have some trouble with motion sickness the first couple times I went for a car ride. That is all in the past, as I get to go for more rides now!
My Dad tells me I am a very sweet young lady, in fact he tells me: “You are so sweet, you make my teeth hurt!.” Whatever that means? Dad says he would adopt me in a minute, however he is a little “long in the tooth” and wants to make sure I am in a Forever Home.” 💓🐾
