About Sylvan

“Hi my name is Sylvan, but my foster parents have been calling me June!

I’m a very sweet and friendly pup, with a lot of sass!

I’m still a puppy, so I’m curious to discover everything. I was a little bit chaotic when I first came into my foster home, but I’ve made incredible progress since. Sometimes my bad habits come back when I get really excited to see you, I just can’t contain my excitement!

My foster parents say I’m a very loyal puppy. I follow them everywhere in the house, and when they call me while we’re on a walk, I always come back running to them. Unless I see a bunny… Sorry, they’re just too much fun to chase!

I’m very smart, but I also have a sassy attitude! I learn tricks very quickly, but often I will howl in a funny way to let you know that I’d rather get the treat without doing the trick. You will also hear that howl when I’m really happy – when my food arrives, when you finally come home after being gone forever (like 20min), and when we’re about to go outside!

I have been doing all my business outside (1 month without an accident). If I really need to go, I will run to the door and whine to let you know it’s now or never.

Another thing I love is wrestling with my foster brother. First thing in the morning, I have to play with him right away! Sometimes he lets me know that he’d rather chill out, so I go find my own toys to chew and calm down. But when he’s ready to play? Oh we could wrestle for hours!

Something I am working on is walking on leash without pulling, or trying to eat anything that’s on the ground. I can’t help it, I’m always hungry! I love meeting and playing with other dogs, but still come back to my foster parents when they call me.

I love having another dog around, but I’m pretty sure I would also do good as the only dog in the house as long as you play with me and take me on walks. If I get bored, I might try to get your attention by chewing on things I’m definitely not allowed to chew on… But I am so easy to take care of ; I can keep myself busy by chewing on my toys, or we can play tug of war, or maybe we did a good walk before you left me alone. Any type of activity a few times a day will keep me entertained enough to not want to destroy your stuff.

My foster family says anyone would be lucky to have me. I’m a very entertaining, funny, cuddly and kind puppy. I’ll love anyone that spends time with me and loves me back.” xo – June
