Extremely shy

Meet Swell! This very shy and timid girl is slowly becoming comfortable in her foster home.

Although it has taken some time and encouragement for Swell to feel safe and comfortable, she has graduated from hanging out in the closet during the day to sometimes playing in the living room with her toy mouse. She loves to communicate using squeaks and gurgles and likes to follow her foster mom around in the morning so that she can chat.

Swell is scared of noises and new people so will need someone who is very patient who can meet her at her level. She doesn’t like being picked up and is not a lap cat but loves it if her human companion lies down next to her to give her head scratches and belly rubs.

She has excellent litter box habits and is a good eater. She is also a night owl.

Swell would thrive in a quiet home without other pets and young children. She knows her boundaries and will tell you when she’s ready for physical contact.
