Once Coulter arrived in his foster home, he quickly came out of his shell, happily cuddling between his foster parents and gently meowing to let them know what he wanted. When he wants attention—which is often!—he’ll nuzzle his head into your hand and stare at you until he gets the love he deserves. He’s a big fan of head and chin scritches.

Although initially hesitant to eat around other cats, Coulter is a well-mannered boy who reliably uses the litter box (even sharing with the resident cats) and respects their boundaries.

Within his first week in foster care, Coulter had four teeth removed during dental surgery, but he recovered beautifully and is now thriving with delicious food, cozy naps, and plenty of snuggles. He was confidently exploring his foster home within days of leaving his safe room— and even tried to steal a slice of pizza when no one was looking!

He would likely do well with older children who respect his space (like most cats!) but has not been tested with dogs. He would thrive in a home where he can receive affection and attention for at least a few hours in the evenings at minimum, even if that’s just chasing a laser or cuddling during a movie. If his foster mom wasn’t allergic, she’d keep him herself! Any adopter will be incredibly lucky to welcome Coulter into their home.
