About Teddie

Slightly timid

Hi, my name is Teddie and I’m a flopsy, roly poly little clown with the most adorable chubby little striped face!

I can still be a tiny bit of a scaredy cat about unexpected noises and sudden movements but I have come so, so far from the little grey vampire kitty who would only come out to play at night after the sun went down. I have started to figure out that being on the squishy furniture is more comfortable than being underneath it. I like hanging out with the peoples when they come down to my level and getting pets and flipping, flopping and rolling all over the place.

I am getting more comfortable about being picked up carefully for short periods but still really prefer getting my snuggles and kisses while on the floor or my favorite chair cushion. I will even offer little kisses back when I’m feeling relaxed and secure.  I am not a lap cat YET but with kindness and care in my life, I am becoming more confident and social every day.

My favorite activity, aside from dinnertime (that’s my true favorite), is chasing toys around the legs of the chairs under the dining room table.  Maybe it’s because there’s been so much hockey on the TV over the holidays, but I’m getting pretty good at swatting a toy like I’m handling a puck and scoring goals against the wall! I have been known to throw a full somersault while running my defensive moves and seem very proud of myself when catching a moving toy.

I may be a bit timid, but that does also mean I am very respectful of you and your things.  I am never on the counter, am very good with my litter box and am quiet at night.  I show no interest in climbing the curtains or harvesting the houseplants, but any dead leaves that hit the ground are fair game and good for about an hours’ worth of entertaining antics.  I am currently fostered with my floofy friend Vinessa and am good about sharing food dishes and litter boxes with her, but I am very chill and would likely be fine as a solo cat with a loving family as well. I am not ready yet for the noise and high activity lifestyle of young children, but I should be okay with cat savvy older kids.

Changing homes is hard for me and I would be so grateful for very patient people who would finally give me a calm and relaxed forever home that I can settle into one last time and fully develop my confidence.  It takes me some time to adjust, so I need a home that understands how rewarding it feels when I do start showing my trust and seeking out companionship and cuddles. I am already well on my way!

Do you have that special home with patient and caring people to help me develop my trust in my family completely and become the sweet, loving girl I really want to be? Apply today! xo Teddie
