About Sweet Pea

Amazing Dog!

I cannot say enough about Sweet Pea. As a first time dog foster, she has certainly made my experience a heartwarming one. From understanding within two days that potty means going outside was phenomenal and a great milestone. She is so eager to please.

Sweet Pea has such a zest and enthusiasm for life that it’s infectious. She’s so happy it makes me happy. She can be a little overexuberant on the leash but then again, she’s young but she is making great headway. We go for ‘sniffer walks’ so I let her sniff for a bit as she really enjoys this but then all I have to say is ‘Ready to go?’ and she responds.

Sweet Pea loves other dogs and seems to have proper dog etiquette. She’s managed to make ‘fence friends’ with some of the morec ranky dogs in my neighborhood. Sweet Pea loves people and she wants to meet everyone we come across while walking. Unfortunately, most people don’t want to stop and greet her which seems to really hurt her doggy feelings.

She gets along well with my cranky senior cat, Baxter. And Baxter is cranky so that’s saying something. I took her to visit my friend who has two preteen boys and that was a smashing success. She was excellent with the boys. My friend also has a dog and they got along very well. Sweet Pea is the epitome of a good dog.

Just a caveat that I work from home so I’m here all day with her. I suspect this would be the preferred situation for Sweet Pea.Sh e is very people orientated and I think it would make her sad to be home all day by herself. If you have an existing dog, this may alleviate this concern.

Again Sweet Pea is such a great little girl. Truly a Good Dog.
