“Hi my name is Elaina, but my foster family calls me Ellie! I am a good-natured, easy-going girl who loves everyone and everything.

Whether it’s new sounds, smells, or textures, meeting new people or making new dog friends, I don’t skip a beat. I am super curious, which means I love to explore and being outside is my favourite (even in the snow). I follow my foster kids everywhere and am always eager to be part of the fun.

I am an energetic and playful pup, but after a walk or a good play session I am content to just hang out and work on a chewy for awhile. I nap like a champ, and I sleep in my crate at night without a fuss.

My foster family thinks I’m super smart because I pick-up new skills quickly. I do really well with redirecting if I try to bite or chew something I shouldn’t. I am walking well on a leash, where I am practicing my recall and sitting before I cross the road. I am also doing really well going potty outside, and I am getting the hang of ringing the bell at the door to tell my fosters when I need to go out. I love treats, so I am eager learn what I need to do to get them!

I like to keep busy during the day, and will benefit from lots of mental stimulation so my big, beautiful brain doesn’t find destructive outlets. My thirst for adventure means I will do best with an active family that keeps me on the go.
