If you are reading this then you… like me… could not scroll past this adorable face. I saw Gripply on the website looking for a foster and I couldn’t say no. I am happy to say I have not regretted that decision!

Gripply is a fantastic puppy and is fitting right into home life. He has been nailing basic household behaviours like potty training, crate training and adjusting to a working schedule. In this house he has two foster sisters who he loves to follow everywhere and do what they are doing. Which has really helped him to learn the ropes. He also has a dog friendly cat that he really wants to play with and has done pretty well when they have had face to face interactions, but his puppy instincts do lead him astray without supervision so he will need patient introductions to any kitty friends.

Gripply definitely has some normal puppy behaviours like jumping up and mouthing that he will need support with as he grows but it is not overwhelming and he is easily redirected. He is very food motivated and we have been working on some tricks like sitting and waiting. I was relieved at how happy he is to go outside regardless of the weather so the cold did not impact his bathroom habits!

I have found that Gripply is cautious when he first encounters a new situation but once he is comfortable he strolls in with confidence. He has so far enjoyed meeting new people and getting belly rubs. He is happy to play a game of fetch but can also entertain himself with toys if the people are busy. And once the playing is done he is absolutely up for some couch snuggles.

This beautiful boy is sweet and full of personality. If you are looking for a family dog or a buddy for your own adventures he will be an absolutely amazing choice!
