About Sinclair
I have been such a good boy for her! I am about 5 months old and I am totally house trained. I have never had an accident in the house since the day she took me home, which was a delightful surprise for her.
I live with my foster parents, and my foster sister, Brownie, (a dog- female) and my foster brother Stryper (a cat – male) and I get along with both. I do sometimes chase the cat but he doesn’t seem to mind it as he never scratches me or hisses, so he must like our game of “tag”. My foster sister (the dog) is 5 years old and she teaches me a lot of things.
When I need to go outside to do my business, I whine or bark at my foster parents indicating I need to go out. As I say, I’ve never had an accident in the house. Pretty good for a 5 month old puppy, if I do say so myself. I can be a little shy at new environments or other dogs barking loudly. I just need some time to feel at ease.
As I am only 5 months old, my teeth are a little razor sharp and I’m not the most gentle when it comes to taking treats, so little hands should probably not feed me treats until I figure out where the fingers end and the treat begins. I don’t cry or whine or bark when people leave the house. I know they will come back soon, so I just sleep. I don’t have to be in the kennel when they leave, they just have to pick up shoes. I found that shoes make great chew toys, but they don’t seem to like me chewing on shoes.
I sleep on the bed with them at night, but I sometimes will jump off and go to one of the dog beds and sleep there. I like to spend time with my foster family, so I am often in the kitchen lying on the floor hoping food falls onto the floor and I can get it before foster mom can pick it up. I like to be in the same room with you, but I am not super clingy. I just want to make sure that I am near by in case you need me.
I walk well on a leash and sometimes foster mom lets me off leash and I can zoom around with my foster sister Brownie. I am working on recall. Sometimes I come right away, other times I am totally distracted and can’t hear foster mom calling me…….or so I pretend. She is getting smarter, though, she will rattle the treat box and that will bring me running pretty quickly.
I would be a wonderful addition to any family looking for a calm, non-aggressive companion. I just want to please my new family and be loved. Are you ready to meet me?” – xo, Sinclair
